A coworker has one of these and loves it. I often think about downsizing from my Concours to a SV650.

its an intresting little bike. however fron a concours, your looking more at a VFR800.
the Sv is far more sport bike then touring bike.

I’m OK with that. I don’t actually “tour” with my bike anyway. The VFR is an attractive option though.

i did test ride a Viffer 800..

in comparison to the SV: much smoother, lots more toys, TCS and heated grips? a fuel gauge? optional luggage? V-TEC? LED headlight OEM? SWEET! (my bike has ABS, so i dont count tht. honda has it too)

BUT. its longer then the SV. and the positoin is more upright. and I do far more ‘sport’ riding then i do touring. it just wouldnt ‘drop’ into the corners with the same eager ness that they SV would...donht really know how to explain it..you push the bar and the sv is like: OH BOY A CORNER< LETS GO GO GO GO GO GO! the viffer was more: oh. a corner. fine. lets get this over with.

Its not a bad handling bike, dont get me wrong. you can still rail the turns pretty hard. it just doesnt feel as happy doing it.

Yeah I know, but then I’d feel stupid because winter is around the corner and I couldn’t ride it even if I wanted to!
